No one can guarantee how a decision will turn out. What we can guarantee is how we prepare it with you.

Independence

We have nothing to offer but our work. Our opinion depends on no product and no intermediary.

If a situation is likely to weigh on our independence, we tell you before going any further.

Confidentiality

What is entrusted to us stays with us. Confidentiality is agreed in writing before any document is exchanged.

The information we receive is used only for the engagement it was given for. We do not name our clients.

Few engagements

We take on a limited number of engagements, so that each one is followed by the person who committed to it.

When we cannot give a request the time it requires, we say so.

Advice, not products

We do not manage portfolios, do not receive funds and do not recommend any financial instrument. The decision is yours.

Our work is a reasoned opinion, then support while it is put into effect. You decide, and you are the one who signs.

First conversation

How a first conversation goes.

  1. You write to usA few lines are enough: the situation, the decision to be made, the deadline if there is one.
  2. We arrange a conversationIts purpose is to understand the question. It commits you to nothing and is free of charge.
  3. We tell you what we can doIf the question falls within our areas, we propose a scope, a timetable and fees. If it does not, we tell you.

No document is sent to us before a confidentiality undertaking has been signed.

One engagement, four stages.

Before we start, an engagement letter sets out in writing the question asked, the scope, the timetable, the fees and confidentiality.

  1. Frame the question

    What has to be decided, and why now.

    We rephrase it with you until it is clear to everyone who will have to decide.

  2. Establish the facts

    Figures, contracts, constraints: what is settled and what is not.

    We work from your documents and with the people you point us to, and we separate what is established from what is assumed.

  3. Compare the options

    What each one commits, what it closes off, what it leaves open.

    You receive a written analysis: the options, their consequences, their risks, and our reasoned opinion.

  4. Decide, then follow through

    The decision is yours; we follow its implementation with you.

    If you wish, we stay alongside you while it is carried out: negotiation, exchanges with your advisers and your banks, progress reviews.

Your other advisers

With your lawyers, notaries, accountants and banks.

Most of the decisions we work on involve several professions. We do not replace them: legal documents and legal opinions belong to lawyers and notaries, the accounts to the accountant, the financing to the banks.

We work with the advisers you have chosen. Our role is to keep the decision readable from start to finish: that everyone answers the same question, and that you know at all times what is settled and what remains open.
