Frequently asked questions
Before you write to us.
How a first conversation goes, how fees are set, what we do and what we do not do.
First conversation
Getting in touch.
How does a first conversation go?
You write us a few lines: the situation, the decision to be made, the deadline if there is one. We then arrange a conversation, whose purpose is to understand the question; it commits you to nothing and is free of charge.
If the question falls within our areas, we propose a scope, a timetable and fees. If it does not, we tell you.
How do we get in touch?
Through the contact form, by e-mail at contact
A few lines are enough. Please do not attach any document at this stage: confidentiality is agreed in writing first.
Should we prepare a file before the first conversation?
No. The purpose of the first conversation is to understand the question. No document is sent to us before a confidentiality undertaking has been signed.
Fees
Fees and the engagement letter.
How are your fees set?
The first conversation is free of charge. Then, if the question falls within our areas, we propose a scope, a timetable and fees to you in writing.
Before we start, an engagement letter sets out in writing the question asked, the scope, the timetable, the fees and confidentiality.
How long does an engagement last?
It depends on the question asked. The timetable is proposed to you in writing after the first conversation, then fixed in the engagement letter.
What do we receive at the end of an engagement?
A written analysis: the options, their consequences, their risks, and our reasoned opinion. The decision is yours; if you wish, we stay alongside you while it is put into effect.
Confidentiality
What is entrusted to us.
How is confidentiality ensured?
It is agreed in writing before any document is exchanged: no document is sent to us before a confidentiality undertaking has been signed. The information we receive is used only for the engagement it was given for.
Can you give us client references?
No: we do not name our clients. That is also why the typical situations on this site are illustrative examples, which do not describe any real client.
Your advisers, our limits
With your advisers, within our limits.
Do you work with our lawyers, our notaries and our accountant?
Yes, with the advisers you have chosen. We do not replace them: legal documents and legal opinions belong to lawyers and notaries, the accounts to the accountant, the financing to the banks.
Our role is to keep the decision readable from start to finish: that everyone answers the same question, and that you know at all times what is settled and what remains open.
What do you not do?
- We do not manage portfolios and do not receive our clients’ funds.
- We provide neither regulated investment advice nor recommendations on financial instruments.
- We do not draft legal documents or give legal opinions: that is the work of your lawyers and notaries.
- We do not keep your books: bookkeeping and the preparation of the accounts remain with your accountant.
- We do not deal with your banks on your behalf: the company remains their counterpart; we prepare its files and support it.
Can you recommend an investment to us, or manage our funds?
No. The firm does not manage portfolios, does not receive its clients’ funds and does not recommend any financial instrument. When a decision about private wealth is at stake, we work on the structure, that is, on who holds what and how, not on investments.

A first conversation.
Tell us in a few lines what is on your mind. We will come back to you to arrange a conversation; if we are not the right people to help, we will say so.
